EYEPISSGLITTER Studio + Conversations of Travel & Performing w/Burman

What is your favorite place to create?

image.jpg

BurmanI create at the lake more than anywhere. Usually just go post up by the water with a few blunts and let nature inspire me.

What are your must have travel essentials?

Burman: Always gotta have good company. Goodmusic for the trip there and your adventures. Of course some good herb. And a camera.

Why is traveling so important to you?

Burman: Sometimes you can get caught up in the same culture of scene and not get to see what other have to offer. Nothing is worse than a closed mind, that's why traveling is important to me.

Why is this particular show important to you?

Burman: Being the new comer to the scene. I've sat at shows in all the Nashville venues and said to myself that I'm gonna perform there one day. Mercy lounge is a big deal to me. I've always wanted to perform there. I get to scratch that off my list. Also Kiya Lacey is someone I've grown closer to and a year ago I told her we'd have a show together one day. And yeah that's happening also.

What song are you looking forward to performing the most at #NextFriday?

Burman: All of them. I love performing my whole set. I'm big on crowd participation so each song has call and response or heavy interaction with the crowd.

DESIGN | How To Hang Your Art Work After You Copped At #ArtHaus

So now you have your first piece of artwork  or maybe your fifth; and like any new additions you have to make space  for it. Luckily, there was a range of pieces to choose from at #ARTHAUS this past Thursday in Nashville.

Exquisite pieces from TrapArtTerry, FluGameQ, RichTheArtist, C3FD, KennyWayneArts, DopeArtDealer, MegPie and CreativeSuppli.

The pop-up shop included finds from Sneakersxspeakers, The Outer Circle and of course new pieces from EYEPISSGLITTER.

I. Be Patient

No, really it's a process but a fun one at that. Don't expect to fill your wall at one time. Start with a focal point and make it the star and put place it on the center of your wall.

II. Get Jiggy

It's your spot, make it reflect your personality. You've already selected your favorite pieces so now it's time to place them where you want. You can tilt your art too (think T.I.'s hat cocked to the side but on your wall).

III. Consistency Is Key

Have fun with it, but don't get too matchy. Use the same colors and mix the prints of the same colors, this show a flow but a difference.

IV. Plan

One of the best things I have found useful is post it notes. You can put these all over the wall and figure out anything from your life goals to where you want to hang your new art.

DESIGN | When Metallic Paint Goes Right via Project Liberty Barber Boutique

At one point in time we've all had our experience with metallic paint whether it was with an arts in craft project, a crazy weekend at a music festival or

in my case a dream project; Liberty Barber Boutique.

The color scheme is black and gold with a cool mixture of industrial and a modern edge. Think a classic barbershop with a spin, the fact that it is more than your average barbershop. But before we take it all the way there, a notification of supplies must be noted. One of the prime supplies is the heavily metallic gold paint seen throughout the shop. The client decided on the Ralph Lauren Metallic Gold with no use of primer and it works! Take a look and get ready for more.
