Coastin', Rollin', Swangin'...defines Dom Kennedy's latest Get Home Safely. His latest happens to be the first that I have heard in its entirety. Yes, I know I'm late, I always see his name and see his tracklisting but never have the urge to listen. This time I was TOLD it was a must, (S/O to James). At first I found myself yawning and thought oh now. Then I thought his voice sounded like Chip the Ripper aka King Chip.

After I was about to turn back to Pusha T's My Name Is My Name, I was granted a interlude, 'A (n) Intermission For Watts'. I suddenly felt like I was riding around south central on a sunny day. Next 'South Central Love' played. I was "In It". I have a favorite song as well now, 'Dominic', it was something about the sample used and now I have it on repeat. His flow is very monotone for me. But I can say I went from yawning to pointing at people. A good mellow vibe that drove me around Los Angeles for a little while.

Also pointers for listening to this album...read Don Winslow's The Kings of Cool. It makes for the perfect soundtrack to your reading. If you have listened let me know your thoughts and favorites as well.
