What I Am Reading: Finally Finished #GIRLBOSS Word To Sophia, It Applies

After attending the Refinery 29 event with Sophia, add a few months later than expected, a spontaneous move across the country, a dab of heartbreak and a huge love for life, I have finally completed #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amuroso.

The Womb Chair x #Girlboss

The Womb Chair x #Girlboss

I get it. The journey, the trials and tribulations and the girlbossing' it up and taking the world by storm to be the best you, you can be and have fun at the same time. More than that it was nice reading something we can relate to the current time and then just my own current situation. If you don't want to do somethng, it's a little bit harder to do it, even if you're getting paid. I had a great interview about just that yesterday with my friend Perri. He told me one of the biggest things he admires about his cousin Damon Dash, is that he never does something he doesn't want to do. He gets up and does what he wants. This is a luxury but it is also a choice we all can make. As you can see this was a little more than what the book is about but yes, it speaks volumes to our generation of women and men.

POPPIN.

POPPIN.

It's a "Get up, get out there & do something" book (word to OUTKAST). I'm highly motivated and surrounding myself with highly motivated people make it that much better. Having space to build stuff helps. As the saying/feeling goes, we're not trees we can move, so in the end it's up to you and what you want to do, you always have a choice. Make it happen.
