Calling All Aspiring Filmmakers!

Who says fun projects have to stop when you enter adulthood, or better yet projects that will help you live your dream of being a film maker, director or just knowing more about the film industry and breaking into it. If you’ve ever wanted to be apart of the video making process, see your name rolling on the credits then getting involved in THE NEWPOP’s program is a must!

My good friends at THE NEWPOP are working on a cool six episode documentary series and you can get involved!  If you have ever wondered what goes into making a music video or seek advice on the know how of it all you must check out The Videographers Guide. 

The Videographers guide is a documentary web series where we follow young filmmakers as they produce short videos for the web in a variety of genres. In addition we interview dozens of seasoned filmmakers, producers, social media experts within each genre to offer their insight and experience and serve as a guide to young filmmakers out there. We ask them questions like… NY vs LA? When do I raise my rates? Can I make a living as a music video director? Or even, how do I manage a successful Kickstarter campaign? This is just a sample of the range of topics we will be dissecting in this series. The goal is to present this information in a compelling, stylistic way that will act as a roadmap to young filmmakers looking navigate the New Media landscape. (via Kickstarter)

The cool thing about The Videographers Guide is that is it up to US! We as in the audience are fully involved. They have started a Kickstarter to complete six episodes of it. So it’s a give and get…the cool things we get go from bonus clips to being on set during an actual filming of a video, which is great if you want to get even more insight.

Not to mention, Cultured Productions’ very own Nasa is one of the young directors being film and the trailer features scenes from The July Edition’s, “Lopez” :)
