Deckers Outdoor Corp. has finally came to a conclusion with Dr. Jay’s for selling conterfeit Ugg boots. As big as the chain is that would be the last thing on a buyer’s mind on making purchases.
But, “We were operating under the belief that the boots and shoes were authentic Ugg Australia product,” said Dr. Jay’s. After a full investigation that were shown it wasn’t authentic at all. Deckers, which owns Ugg filed a complaint that led to a temporary restraining order prohibiting Dr. Jay’s from selling Ugg product, followed by a preliminary injunction on November 10. As you can see it got very serious.
Deckers’ also continued its’ anti-counterfeiting efforts that resulted in more than 420,000 pairs of fake Ugg boots. Now that’s a great deal of feet.
