Literary Licks: Narrative of the Life of

a man who taught himself how to read, write and escaped slavery. We have nothing to complain about and reading this story true in it’s form made it so clear. This autobiography was very detailed and if you’re not familiar with slavery life then you may have been blown away. It was the perfect example of history repeating itself and the end result of persistence…FREEDOM. 

Yet, he pointed out many a times or maybe I got it confused with the book I read last week that Not a body on this planet can give you, your own FREEDOM…FREEDOM is all in the mind and it begins and ends with you. 

I was saddened because I thought this book was the whole entire story that began with him as a slave and ended with him starting the North Star. But don’t fret my Literature Lovers…there are two more books that he pens.
