BIG K.R.I.T. DAY 4/4: What Makes @HumbleBeauty K.4.L.

I remember the first K.R.I.T. song I heard, “Children of The World.” I was aimlessly scrolling down my Facebook newsfeed and I see a link to the vid. I listen to it and I instantly get chills. Here this man is rapping about so many things I’ve experienced. “I’m pretty sure my first words were ‘Survival’.” “Looking up all the answers to my questions in the Bible.” “Tired of the foodstamps and budgeting.” “My conversations with God always seem to leave him speechless.” “If I abuse myself daily who can I love?” “What good is a degree when there’s no jobs to apply?” I listened to the song over and over again and wondered how he was able to reach me and touch me so much in 3 minutes and 12 seconds. From there I downloaded K.R.I.T. Wuz Here and Return of 4Eva and I’ve been putting on for K.R.I.T. ever sense. I paid my friend to take me to my first K.R.I.T. show and she ended up giving me my money back once it was over. The only way I knew how to directly show K.R.I.T. love was through Twitter so I tweeted him all the time until one day I got lucky and he followed me. I talk about him all the time to everyone I know. I’m catching the Greyhound at 6 in the morning from Tuscaloosa, AL by myself to go see him in concert in ATL by myself. People call me crazy but to me it’s absolutely worth it. There’s a difference between being a fan and being a Kritter for Life. To me the level of connection is the distinguishing factor. You can buy a shirt and a CD and tweet him all the time but I want to do more. I want to continue to spread his message and I’m down to, “do it for the LOVE and it’s free of charge.”
