Take a Day & Live in the Primitive Stages.
So it’s finally 2012 and I can remember it being 1992 (Snoop’s Doggystyle was released) and saying “I’ll be driving a spaceship when it gets to be 200.” Well that didn’t happen exactly, instead I was standing online on 125th street for the SPACEjams (cool greys) and my mama drove me. But let’s digress. It’s a new year and with all this technology do you ever think about how it would be without it?
Try a few things out for just a day.
1. But, Naked: Walk around with no clothes on, I’m talkiing no fabric of any sort. Let’s be in the primitive stages again.
2.House Phone: Don’t use your phone until you get home and turn off your cell phone. Act like it’s 1992 when you either used a pay phone or waited until you got home…matter of fact cop a beeper.
3. Analog is the New Digital: We are definitely in the age of instant gratification but conquer your fears of the let me see and take the time out to get your film developed.
4. Put a Stamp on it So I Know It’s Real: No really, take a minute and write a nice letter to your friends. There’s nothing like getting a physical piece of mail in your mailbox.
(This photo came from the documentary that I’m currently watching; look for the review, takes places in New Guinea)
