The Melanin Collection & How It Came About
Besides making jar candles, I love creating conversational pieces. I’m talking art with a scent, more specifically, my Bubble T and Body candles. To be frank, they look mighty different from anything you’ve seen. But this time around I got even deeper. Even more feminine with shades galore. I created something that took time. I felt like a scientist in the lab when I was trying to get the colors right. Each shade takes a certain amount of dye and preciseness when measure. Vanilla Honey Bun (thanks JKL), Brown Suga, and Shea Butta Baby are exactly what they sound like, sweet, vibrant, and art. They represent melanin, hence the Melanin Collection.
But what about the scent. I had to get it right, I went from a Mango Coconut to a Mahogany Shea. Check out the look and get pre-order the limited-edition set today.
The Melanin Collection pays homage to our heritage with shades of the Body and Bubble T candle scented in Mahogany Shea. This Juneteenth, decandle!
